A Letter from Gil and Hannah on October 1, 2023

Covenant People

In October, we reflect on ourselves as "The People of Covenant." We gather together to worship because we believe in Both the Old Covenant/Testament and the New Covenant/Testament in the Bible. As we adhere to the Covenants God made with the Israelites, Jews, or Disciples of Jesus Christ, we stand united as the people of God and the people of Covenant. Moreover, we are here together because we have faith that the Covenant God made with our spiritual ancestors will come true in our age and the future. The reason we gather, worship, love, or serve is all rooted in the Covenant that God has bestowed upon us.

Connecting People

The Old Covenant finds fulfillment in the New Covenant, our eras, and the future. The Old Covenant aligns with the New Covenant and is realized through it. We discern God's Will or Messages by understanding the connections between the Old and New Covenant. Therefore, recognizing the interconnections between the Covenants is crucial to comprehend God's will for us. Hence, "Covenants need Connections."

Connecting the Dots

No one, except Jesus Christ, is perfect on earth. This implies that every individual requires help or support from others to grow or mature physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. Each person is like a dot that needs to be connected to others to understand the meaning, role, or talents in their life. Our lives become more meaningful, valuable, and precious as we connect with others more deeply.

Hope and Prayer

I hope and pray that the Living Waters Families, as the people of Covenant, continue to connect with more individuals, enabling us to fulfill God's Dream in our lives. Especially as we have a special Missional Covenant Sunday with Bishop Peggy Johnson, all of us can experience that we are the One Family of God through Covenants and Connections!

Your Companions in Christ,

Pastor Gil and Hannah
