David mourns the lost of his son Absalom,
Crying out oh my son, my son Absalom only had I died instead of you.
After mourning for sometime , David comes out and knows it’s time to return to Jerusalem. Everyone wants to go with him, even those who killed his son.
David shows mercy and kindness towards them.
Lord
What a wonderful example of mercy, kindness and forgiveness David has shown. This can only happen when we put our faith, trust and obedience in you.
Lord thanks for reminding me that as I forgive others I am forgiven.
For there is no other way then to trust and obey you, Lord.
Amen
2 Samual 18-19
Incredible love. Completely unconditional.
David ran many of time from Saul - and had to do the same with Absalom. Even hear the great war. And yet David would have given his own life to save the life of Absalom.
To care so much for someone who wants to do something so horrible to you. Absalom surely would’ve killed David if given the chance. He would’ve celebrated his victory.
For all the wrong reasons
David shows great care and only for Absalom, but even for his men. He even mourns over his death. He called him my son.
It is easy to see why God has favor and David . That shall love thy neighbor.
Heavenly father,…
