Jonathan said to David, “Whatever you want me to do, I’ll do for you.
Much to Saul’s disapproval, Jonathan became friends with David and did everything he could to protect him from Saul. From the beginning of creation, we were never meant to “go it alone”. The words “friend/friendship” appear in the Bible over 200 times.

Saul loses favor with David and tries to kill him
Saul loses his life with the Lord, the Lord has left Saul as he disobeys and now Saul breaks even more of God’s laws. He becomes jealous with so much fear that he doesn’t listen to those closest to him, his family.
Michal saves David’s life
What great love
Jonathan son of Saul helps David
Jonathan listens to the Lord, he loves his father and hopes he will listen but that hope dies as he realizes the Lord is no longer with his father. Jonathan trust and obeys the Lord and helps David, even if it means he my loss his own life.

Seems to me that jealousy is a foot. Saul for the second time become so jealous of David, because of what others are saying. That he would go as far as wanting to take his own life. Once again, define God and his commandments. God walked away from Saul because he defied him, and Saul is tormented over this. I would think to the part where he is not…
