Reflection


Here’s the person who wants to do the right thing, goes to another individual offers fair trade. Offers good money. I just turned down. And he’s turned down because the person that had what he wanted had a firm belief of God and God‘s word. God told him not to allow this to happen. No matter what , he stood behind what God said. Ultimately it cost him his life. However, I have a strong belief that when you die and you go to God. It’s all good.

2023.04.25 (Tue) Bible Reading Meditation #115 - 1 Kings 21-22


Title: What the LORD Forbade


Verse:

[1 Kings 21:3] And Naboth said unto Ahab, The LORD forbid that I should give the king the inheritance of my fathers.


Finding:

Naboth refused to sell his ancestral inheritance to the king. Naboth refused to sell his inheritance to the king because God forbid it. At that time, an inheritance from an ancestor was considered a gift from God and was forbidden to be sold. It didn't belong to them, it belonged to God. This was the way to live as a steward of God.
