My reflection would be very similar to that is written by Kathy Moore

The fact that David goes against the covenant of God. He is overcome by sin. By seeing a woman and feeling the lust for her. He lives with her and she becomes pregnant with his son. His plans to cover up the event by having her husband sleep with her during the earliest time, so that nobody will discover the sin. Fails. And I think it’s fails, because God chose so.

God does see Hope and David. And David does realize that what he has done is wrong. And he does ask forgiveness from the Lord. And God grants that

Heavenly father what a wonderful, wonderful exhibition…

David is overtaking by sin.

David allowed sin to over shadow him.

First he watches Bathsheba from the roof top and then instructed his men to bring her to him, and he lays done with her.

As a result he continues to sin as he calls for Bathsheba husband to come home from the battle field. His plan doesn’t go as he wants.Uriah heart is with those who he left back on the battlefield, he doesn’t feel right about him being there with food and comfort. So he doesn’t go home to be with his wife. David had learn that Bathsheba was with child, David’s plan was that Uriah would go to his wife and lay with her and everyone…

Replying to

Kathy, I couldn’t agree with you more. This is exactly what I see that came about during this part of the readings.
