I started off, ahem, slogging through 1 John (the end is is in sight!) but then got into it. I guess that's part of what reading through the entire Bible is all about. A lot of focus on love's importance for the Christian -- very much in the Paul tradition of "So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love." Great stuff to be reading in the Christmas season. Though I hadn't paid much attention to this book before, I will now come back to it.
