thereby find deliverance from a false and unscriptural sense of unworthiness?
Use this moment to pray for that person and for an opportunity to share this
good news with him or her.
I get very confused when I think about worthiness vs. unworthiness because of my Catholic upbringing. I guess some of it stayed with me. I understand that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and I work every day on getting rid of "Catholic guilt".
But I also believe that you should not receive Communion just for the sake of doing it because everyone else does. It's not a ritual during the service. It's an answer to an invitation and one that you can only accept with your heart.

Unworthy reception
I’m taking part in the Lord supper in the relationship with you in God. The question of unworthiness.
The fact that we are all unworthy of his love, and his grace is why we should partake.
I would say that my first response to the first question …which of Wesley is three points about unworthiness speaks the strongest to you and why ?
I would say is the first. The unworthiness.
We take the sacrament as a renewal of that grace that was shared for us.
I agree that an individual who is falling down, drunk, probably should remain seated. But then I would second-guess myself and say if the Holy Spirit speaks to him, and…
