Fasting is not something I have done in relationship to food, but I have given up other things like TV or anything that has consumed my time and taken me away from spending time with God. The reason I have never given up food for fasting is because I am overweight and my intention would not have been on the focus of the Lord. Instead I would have used it as a tool to lose weight.

what background you have regarding fasting?


It was never brought up in any religion state. So as far as history of respective fasting, I don’t have one. However, I am familiar with the ideology of fasting. Because of the friends that I had when I was younger. Most of them were Catholic and follow this tradition very closely. Mostly it was related to food. Which I never really understood.
