Job 35-38


Elihu for the third time , under takes the correction of jobs miss spoken words. Three very specific improper sayings, where he had represented religion is it in different and profitable thing, which God enjoy means for his own sake, not for ours .

He goes on to explain God's power, his wisdom, and applies each of us to Job.

And explains that in most disputes, the strife is who shall have the last word. After all the wranglings of the council, the judge upon the bench, must have the last word. So God here, and should so he have every controversy, for every man's judgment preceding him. Job had often appealed to God. And he talked boldly.…

Job 38:1-3


Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said: "Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge? Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.”


Job’s problems began when he decided to interpret what was happening to him using his limited knowledge of who God is. He looked only at himself and what was happening in his life and didn’t see that what was happening to him was part of a larger plan. Although he never denied God’s power as the creator of the universe, I don’t believe he saw the big picture.


I’ve often said that I want to “know God”. However, I’m well aware…
