Psalm 1-9


First instructions concerning good and evil, the ways that lead us to right and happiness, versus misery and ruin .

The different characters in conditions of godly people in the wicked .

The division of men Saint versus sinner .

The ground and the reason for both.


. We then see Gods anointed.

The setting up of the kingdom of Christ.


David then gives the complaints of God’s enemies confiding  in God, and encourages himself in him as his God, notwithstanding

Triumphs over fears and over enemies, and those who pray against him 

He gives God the glory, and he takes for himself, the comfort of the divine blessing and salvation, which are sure to all…

Psalm 5:3

In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.


I once read that David let God “open all the doors”. According to the above verse, he also waited expectantly for those doors to open. He prayed first, then waited. What a beautiful way to walk with the Lord...having enough trust to know and respect what his part was and what God’s part was. David even acknowledges that God hears His voice. He has the assurance that when he prays and when He submits a request, he can rest in the knowledge that his prayer was heard.

I can recall countless times when, through impatience, I went ahead…
