Deuteronomy 24-27

More instructions and laws.

This time about marriage the commitment and how if divorce happens what is the reason along with the consequences.

Also God instructed not to be greedy and take all of your crop but to leave some for others who have nothing.


Reflection

Today people don’t seem to recognize God’s blessings.

God’s blessings are not given to keep to ourselves by to share. I always think about how I feel when giving blessing to others. Whom really received the blessing? Was it the person whom I was sharing the blessing,or was it me, still could it be God? Perhaps it’s all three. I know when someone shares a blessing with me I feel blessed, likewise…

Deuteronomy 24-27

We continue to learn more laws, more rules , surrounding marriage and divorce. The people who God’s treasure possessions. The offering of first fruits and ties. The building of the altar, and the sharing of curses on Mount Ebal.


Personal reflection

As I read further into Deuteronomy, I feel it’s the section of the Bible where were given instructions, laws. Ways to live, ways to share common things that we can do to survive, live, clean, share, and take care of one another.

As a young child in Sunday school I learned the song, "Jesus Loves Me". But it wasn't until I was an adult that I truly grasped the knowledge that God loved me. And it blew my mind! I couldn't understand how that could possibly be . And now, as I prepare to write my spiritual autobiography,
