[Deuteronomy 34:6-8, NIV]

6 He buried him in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is...

8 The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning was over.

Leaders are forgotten by people. The time the Israelites cried and mourned, remembering Moses was only 30 days. And the Bible says no one knew where the great leader was buried.

But God does not forget Moses.

Moses was a leader who was close to God enough to talk with God face to face.

Replying to

Hannah, what a beautiful view. I believe you are born to lead and for that reason you are and well never be forgotten.

Like you , I too am encouraged to lead , take charge and guide .. it is not my fear of not being remembered, as much as my fear , I will lead incorrectly or fail to guide in away that is not right . I know in my heart that if I keep God in my heart , and do his will .. he will recognize and remember us . You are an inspiration to me …

Blessings - Barbara

The song of Moses

His resting place

Moses final blesses for the tribes

Moses rest at last .

He listened to the words direct from God, he watched the scribe of the 10 Commandments handed down from God’s hand. He carried this down a mountain to share with all.

I’ve always thought of Moses, as being very dedicated to God. Very blessed by God. To have extreme knowledge of God’s laws, because he’s been spoken to directly from God.

Here we learn that he didn’t follow all of Gods wishes and commands.…

Deut.32:17-18

"They sacrificed to false gods, which are not God—gods they had not known, gods that recently appeared, gods your ancestors did not fear. You deserted the Rock, who fathered you; you forgot the God who gave you birth."

False gods come in many forms: people, money, social media, false prophets......the list goes on and on. I think back to the time before I knew the Lord and was into the "New Age" phenomenon. It's scary to think about what I actually believed!! But having no one to point me in the right direction, I was willing to believe anything that anyone told me was going to "enlighten" me. I don't remember how I finally turned away from that...maybe I just eventually …
