The accomplishments of Jeremiah‘s prophecy concerning the Jews, out of Babylon at the end of 70 years
 The treatment of the Jews in Babylon was deplorable, to be controlled by those that hate. I can think of another time of such deeds being done, one not so far from my own history.
We see the proclamation which God stirred up in Cyrus, the king of Persia, issued out a release of all Jews, that he found captive in Babylon in the building of their temple in Jerusalem. And those that fled. Orders given to restore a temple yet again, and the dawning of a day of new deliverance .
“Despite their fear of the peoples around them, they built the altar on its foundation and sacrificed burnt offerings on it to the Lord, both the morning and evening sacrifices.” (Ezra 3:3)
“On the first day of the seventh month, they began to offer burnt offerings to the Lord, though the foundation of the Lord’s temple had not yet been laid”. (Ezra 3:6)
When I read these verses, my first thought was “what faith these people had!” Despite everything the Israelites had gone through, they still held on to faith even as they feared their present circumstances in order to obey God.
