Ezra 7:6

“...this Ezra came up from Babylon. He was a teacher well versed in the Law of Moses, which the Lord, the God of Israel, had given. The king had granted him everything he asked, for the hand of the Lord his God was on him.”


Ezra 8:16-17

“So, I summoned Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zechariah and Meshullam, who were leaders, and Joiarib and Elnathan, who were men of learning, and I ordered them to go to Iddo, the leader in Kasiphia...”

Ezra was not only a teacher of the law, but he also surrounded himself with “leaders and men of learning”. Reading the verses above reminds me that both sharing God’s Word and remaining teachable,…

Ezra 7-8

For Ezra had returned his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and teach statutes and ordinances in Israel, Ezra 7:10


 Hi, this until now that we see Ezra‘s precious name salutes us. It’s now that he is introduced to the public in another kings reign . And that of Artaxerxes.  He has to become a useful instrument in the cause of God.

Both Ezra and Nehemiah which is up-and-coming are seen in these days.

Ezra travels on an expedition to Jerusalem for public. Good, Commission given to him by Artaxerxes and we see, is thankfulness to God for it.

 God chose Israel to be an instrument a good to…
